Okay so above is my final copy of my flower drawing (drawn from the yellow flowers in A and A's backyard). I guess I don't have a picture of it matted but I will get one up here soon :]
So most of you already know I have some sort of obsession with pigs (the pink animal ones, not the stupid boys who can't get it together kind) so above is one image of a pig I drew with a pen made of bamboo by the way! I had to dip in the ink container just like an old school brit! It's going to be a series, kind of hard to explain lol but I'll put up the finished product in a couple weeks :]
So this one is like the most random pieces of art I have ever made. We were supposed to write a short story and then draw a scene from the short story. So here's the story and above is the scene (drawn with quill and ink)
This is the story of a cricket named Ned. He lives underneath the floorboards of a house that belongs to a very poor family. Ned is a very shy cricket who lives by himself. He often wonders how something so small can make any kind of difference in his world. Every night Ned creates beautiful pieces of art so he can get away from the stress of wondering why he can’t make a difference. Ned never likes any of his art so he goes up to the main level of the house and leaves them scattered around the floor. The family has no idea where the beautiful pieces are coming from and assume it is some kind of act of God. They sell the paintings and drawings for money and use the money to pay rent and buy food. The cricket has no idea that his artwork is what is helping this family stay alive. He creates these images for many years until he starts to feel too old and tired to create anymore. Jill, another cricket that lives in the upstairs kitchen, wonders why the images have stopped appearing. She stumbles upon Ned underneath the floorboards and explains to him what has been happening to his art all these years. Ned tells Jill he is too old and can’t keep creating such things. Jill comes back every day for weeks begging Ned to train her how to create art. Ned teaches Jill everything he knows until the day he passes away. Jill continues creating art in honor of Ned and for the family upstairs.
Okay, keep in mind we didn't have a whole lot of time to come with that story lol. I know it's random and I know it's kinda strange!
Speaking of random-here's some pics from the last football game!
